Two Million Wishlists, Steam Top 3 Update, and Full Plane Control

What FLEXUS announced at the two-million milestone, its later official Steam Top 3 update, and which gameplay details remain unknown.

Reporting rule: confirmed facts are tied to named sources. Interpretation is labeled, and missing details stay unknown until FLEXUS or Steam publishes them.

The important gameplay news was not the round number: FLEXUS said players fully control the aircraft and that a longer gameplay video was being prepared. The studio also reported two million wishlists and a Top 6 position on July 31. FLEXUS then confirmed a No. 4 Steam position on August 27 and a Top 3 most-wishlisted position on September 6 (UTC+8; September 5 in UTC).

What FLEXUS actually announced

The July 31 post combined a commercial milestone with a development update. FLEXUS reported two million Steam wishlists, described Dear Passengers as reaching the Top 6, shared a raw Unity screenshot, and responded to requests for more substantial footage. The studio said a gameplay video was in production and clarified that the player fully controls the plane.

Full aircraft control closes one important interpretation gap. Dear Passengers is not only a cabin-management game where the cockpit appears in scripted sequences. It still does not tell us how detailed the flight model is, which controls are supported, or how one player balances flying with cabin work in solo mode.

From Top 6 to the official Top 3 announcement

The placements describe different checkpoints. Top 6 is the wording FLEXUS published on July 31. On August 27, the studio posted that Dear Passengers had reached No. 4 on Steam. On September 6 in Beijing (September 5 UTC), FLEXUS announced that the game was among Steam’s Top 3 most wishlisted games. This post does not announce a new wishlist total, release date, demo, or price. Each placement describes its announcement date, not a permanent ranking.

How to quote the chart

Attach a date to every placement. Say “FLEXUS announced a Top 3 position on September 6 (UTC+8).” The announcement is not a live rank check for today.

What remains unannounced

  • The exact release date and price
  • The maximum online player count
  • The public-demo date and access method
  • The aircraft control scheme and simulation depth
  • Controller, HOTAS, rebinding, and Steam Deck support
  • The publication date of the promised longer gameplay video

The full sequence of reported totals is maintained in the wishlist timeline. Gameplay implications of direct aircraft control belong in the flight-loop analysis, where interpretation is kept separate from confirmed rules.
